RELQ is the name of an additional questionnaire on regional language use among adult Lifelines participants. Implementation of this questionnaire in Lifelines was initiated by the department of information science of the University of Groningen.

All invitations were sent in November 2021. Non-responders received a personal reminder after 3 weeks.

~132,000 adults were invited for RELQ.
The response rate in this age group was ~30% (n=~38,500).

The REL questionnaire consisted of questions on the use of local/regional languages and dialects, such as Frysian and Low Saxon.
