On top of the general assessments, additional assessments may be performed in selected groups of Lifelines participants (e.g. “subcohorts”) in order to collect additional questionnaire data, measurements and/or biomaterials.
Additional assessments are performed at the initiative of (and in collaboration with) external research groups, and an embargo period for use of additional data by third parties may apply.

• DAG1, a.k.a. DEEP, the assessment of the microbiome and methylome of ca. ~1.500 participants
• DAG2, the assessment of whole genome + microbiome in ca. 165 participants
• DAG3, the assessment of the microbiome of ca. ~9.000 participants
• DAG4, the follow-up to DAG3
• EYEL, the assessment of glaucoma in elderly participants (EyeLife)
• GWAS, the genotyping of ~15.000 participants (freely available)
• HAIR, the collection & analysis of scalp hair samples

• MYST, the use of quantified-self devices in ~100 participants
